There are several ways to get a sleep study:
- You can go to your primary physician, tell them that you think you may have a sleep disorder, and they will refer you for a sleep study. Take the Epworth sleepiness scale with you to show your doctor.
OR
- You can see a board certified sleep specialist for evaluation (you may need a referral from your primary doctor).
OR
- You can see an ENT for a sleep evaluation.
- You may need a referral and/or pre-authorization from your insurance company.
- You must have a prescription from a physician for a sleep study.
